A day in a leaf
A day in a leaf.
Travel in the microscopic world inside the leaf see the vedio .
Plants make their food with the help of their leafs using sunlight,CO2,H2O, Chloroplast as a raw material. Leaf contain plastids>chromoplast>chloroplast.
Leaf contains mesophyll and Bundle sheath cell in which (30-50 chloroplast) present , in chloroplast there are two units Granum (30-60) and Stroma. Granum consists of 5-16 Thylakoids in which LHC(Light harvesting complex) are present also known as Photosystems. Plants use their own Photosystems to make food .
Its very curious to know a leaf cell contains several machinery in it,

And due to colour of chlorophyll which is green , leaf also seems green in colour.
Is sunlight is necessary for plants?
What do you think plant can only make their food in the presence of sunlight? If yes so how they survive in cloudy regions!
There is a simple answer yes plant can make their food without sunlight but i said without sunlight , light is recquired any light who's wavelength is (680 nM or 700 nM) . In this condition plant can make their food by using the artificial light.
In many countries crops are grown by the help of Greenhouse , it is an artificial culture medium in which crops can be grown in artificial medium, these artificial medium can be implanted in any climatic conditions.
It looks something like this.
